SPOILER ALERT: The following contains spoilers for From Season 4, Episode 1.

The From Season 4 premiere introduced Sophia, who seemed like the kind of character who had no chance in Fromville: sweet, innocent and helpless. Yet by the end of the episode, audiences were made privy to a terrifying secret about the town’s new arrival: she’s actually just an alter ego for the horrible Man in Yellow.

In an interview with TVBrittanyF.com, actor Julia Doyle revealed what she wants From fans to know about her character. She also spoke about what it was like to join the cast of the MGM+ show in its fourth season. Plus, she gave a clue about a favorite scene that viewers have yet to see.

Brittany Frederick: Without giving anything away, what do you want the audience to know about Sophia? How do you describe her?

Julia Doyle: I want people to know that she is just a little girl seeking community. [She] needs help and [she’s] really lost and scared.

There’s a ton of mythology in the world of From. However, since you’re playing a character who’s at least pretending to be new here, does that make it easier for you as an actor? That you don’t have to come into the show knowing everything?

It’s definitely nice. And it’s also just nice knowing that if there is something that I’m forgetting about, then I can have the director and cast and crew remind me.

Was there a favorite character that you enjoyed playing Sophia off of? Or a favorite scene in From Season 4 that stuck with you?

Hannah [Cheramy, who plays] Julie. We didn’t have many scenes together, but from the scenes we did have together, it was very, very fun to play off of each other. I love Hannah.

There’s a scene in Episode 9 with someone, where it’s tender in a way.

How would you describe your filming experience on From? What was it like to step into this town that’s been created and that’s so not like any other show?

It was so exciting. I was so happy to be there. Whenever I was waiting in between setups, I would just be staring at the walls and the ceilings and the different details and the posters on the wall. There was just so much to look at wherever I went. I’m also a big lover of vintage and thrifting and stuff like that, so got to look at a bunch of old vintage toasters. And I learned a lot. It was very fun.
