The third season of Blue Lights is just around the corner. BritBox has announced that Season 3 of the cop drama will be available to stream on Nov. 13 and run through Dec. 18. This adds to an already stacked BritBox lineup in the remainder of 2025, which also includes Lynley and a new season of Silent Witness.

Blue Lights is set in Belfast, following the careers and challenges of a group of police officers who now have years of experience under their belt. Grace (played by Siân Brooke), Annie (Katherine Devlin) and Tommy (Nathan Braniff) may have more time on the beat now, but that doesn’t mean they know everything that criminals can throw at them. In Season 3, they face more challenging antagonists as well as a few new additions to the police ranks.

As the trio venture deeply into the world of organized crime, they’ll cross paths with intelligence officer Paul Collins (portrayed by Bad Sisters alum Michael Smiley) and notorious club owner (Dana Morgan from Dune: Prophecy). This different kind of criminality will keep the characters—and the audience—on their toes. Blue Lights has hooked viewers by showing the street-level issues of policing, but also finding ways to interject humor and lightness so the audience still feels like they’re getting an escape. Delving into organized crime offers up plenty of new story possibilities that should keep the excitement going.

Blue Lights has quickly found an audience thanks to that balance of tone and its engaging cast. The show won the BAFTA for Best Drama Series in 2024. For the uninitiated or those wanting a refresher, below is the Season 2 trailer. Season 3 will consist of six episodes, the same as the previous two seasons.
