Produced by Next Chapter Podcasts, Targeted is a video podcast series hosted by former M&A attorney Zach Abramowitz. The series focuses on whistleblowers, lawyers, activists, and other people who found themselves the targets of overwhelming forces like national governments. Each episode explores a different perspective on “being targeted” and how that process can impact someone’s personal life, whether that be through frozen bank accounts or a public smear campaign.

The latter is the experience of Gaurav Srivastava, whose business expenses and status as a “fake spy” circulated through mainstream media in 2024. Despite reporting from the likes of the Wall Street Journal and The Financial Times, there are now credible accusations that this mainstream push was part of a deliberate smear campaign targeting Gaurav.
